Night City Transit Center

The Night City Transit Center was located in the Little China district of Central Night City.

Overview

Inaugurated around 2020, this building was the central hub for the entire Night City transit system at that time, as well as the headquarters and maintenance yards for the Night City Transit Corporation (NCTC), though they also maintained a separate building from where they monitored everything. This structure was also the main hub for NCART.

The NCTC busses were parked in a large garage yard to the south, and were brought here during the day to work their routes. The western side of the center was used for taxi and car unloading, while buses passed through two covered loops on the north and south sides. The eastern side of the building contained a covered concrete garage pad for emergency repairs and alternate busses.

The first belowground level contained the Transit Center NCART stop, which was a transfer station between the A and C maglev lines. All corporate trains from Westbrook also stopped here. The second level was the terminal for the intercontinental Planetran maglev network, and a small section of this level was reserved for NCART trains for repairs, which were routed to a lower sliding to access this area.

Many people arriving at Night City for the first time stopped here, as such it was a hotspot for gang activity, making the newcomers the perfect targets. Local guardian gangs like the Silver Slash took responsibility for this and also operated in the Transit Center to stop the malefactors.
