Andrew Scythe is the manager of the security forces at the notorious Hacienda Hotel in Night City.

Biography

During the construction of the Hacienda Hotel, the building was besieged by gangs, so its manager, Isabel Vargas, hired the notable solo Andrew Scythe to run her security force. Scythe built it into a small army of well trained men and effectively protected the hotel's grounds.

In 2015, the hotel was finally finished and an opening ceremony was celebrated. By 2020, the Hacienda was famous around the world, and only the most wealthy could afford to stay there. The hospitality of the hotel was legendary, and the security force still led by Andrew saw to it that nothing disturbed this. Isabel was described as kind and compassionate, so she preferred to leave the most unpleasant aspects of running the business to Andrew.

One time, Andrew protected the Pack from the Bay Area Rapid Terror gang, gaining the favor of homeless living in Lake Park, and Andrew occasionally went to their aid if they called for him. He also used a warehouse in Charter Hill, officially rented by the Hacienda, as a cover business to secretly keep all the back-up equipment for the hotel's security force when not in use.

Scythe was mostly famous for his skill in arms and leadership of security forces, as such, he was a very dangerous man. He was very capable and very harsh with offenders, and he was the reason gangs citywide had declared Charter Hill neutral territory. Several companies tried to hire Andrew away from Isabel, but he always refused to leave her side. This behavior sparked the rumors that they were lovers, though both had always denied it when asked.[1]
