UFC Health Sciences Center

The UFC Health Sciences Center was located in the Medical Center of Central Night City.

Overview

This building was a branch of the University of Free California Medical School, where med students went for their two years of schooling. Some internship was done here, as well. The one-story block that juted out from the west side of the building contained a 24-hour emergency clinic run by the students and interns. They did just fine on stab wounds, broken bones, and gunshots, but the serious cases were referred to Crisis Medical Center. The students didn't turn anyone away, as they wanted the practice, but if someone couldn't pay the fee, the practitioners cut back on expensive supplies like anaesthetic. At four in the morning, this place was often packed with screaming boosters getting amputations and the like. It was not uncommon to get additional injuries here, especially when a wounded chromer thought he had been waiting in line too long.
