Northside District was a district of Central Night City, located to the northwest. It was considered part of Little Europe.

Overview

Originally designed as an industrial neighborhood built to resemble the New York City of old,[2] by 2020, Northside was an aging, yet notorious district for the many successful local business, but especially for the constant gang presence in the area, which threatened Northside's welfare and made this district one of the most dangerous in Night City. These gangs had been expelled from the City & Corporate Districts, and after concentrating in Northisde, they began a turf war that seem it was never going to end. All this constant violence was responsible for at least 40% of any gang-related fatalities in Central Night City. Among all these groups, the Slaughterhouse was considered the worst of the bunch, killing indiscriminately anyone that crossed their path. If not for the lack of initiative, they would definitely be the most dangerous gang in the city.[1]

Media reporters like Bes Isis denounced how authorities didn't care about Northside, as it wasn't a source of heavy income for the city, and not even the corporations were concerned about its fate. Despite this, the locals cared, and where trying to make things better. The notorious Holy Angels Church was a beacon of light amidst all this chaos, providing home for those that didn't, and joy during festivities for the district's residents. The O'Flaherty's Tavern was very popular among the local Irish population, and Fax-Press was a widely known company, producing several famous nationwide magazines such as Solo of Fortune. The most secured areas in Northside where the Deveron and Ron Walker Showrooms, which were protected by Arasaka security.

NCTC bus connections to other parts of Central & South Night City were available through line 72.[1]
