Old Bank Block
This article is about the location in Cyberpunk RED. For other uses, see Bank (disambiguation).The Old Bank Block is a wrecked land of radioactive ruins located in the Hot Zone of central Night City.
Overview
This area was once the district that housed most of the old banking institutions in Night City, such as the First Bank of Night City or the notorious Fujiwara Bank. During the Fourth Corporate War, this district was heavily damaged by the firefights between Arasaka and Militech, culminating in the Night City Holocaust of 2023, in which a nuclear device exploded from inside the top floors of the nearby Arasaka Towers. Bank Block was one of the most affected areas by the explosion, leaving much if not all the district completely devastated and irradiated.
In the 2040s, the Old Bank Block was an abandoned neighborhood that been reduced to streets of rubble which had never been cleared out in any official way.[1]
Reconstruction on this area would finally begin in 2052.[2]
