Newgate Prison

Newgate Prison was a bar located in the University District of Central Night City.

Overview

On the lower floors of this building was Newgate Prison, a serious college drinking bar made up to look like the famous London prison of the same name. The wooden benches and tables were bolted to the concrete floor, which was dotted with drains that allowed the proprietors to simply hose down the room at the end of the night. On Thursdays, the bartenders poured pitchers of beer for only two eurodollars each, occasionally causing the line to get into the bar winding around the corner and partway down the street.

Upstairs was the Paragon bar.
