Los Padres County[1] is a region of the state of Southern California.

Overview

Los Padres is one of the counties of the NUSA state of Southern California. It is located on the northwestern part of the state, found right on the border with Night City and Northern California, on the arid SoCal Badlands.

Notes

  • In Cyberpunk 2077, this area is supposed to be inaccessible other than during The Nomad quest. Attempting to cross the border from the north will result in instant death, although there are exploits to bypass this restriction.
  • The county shares the name with Night City's Los Padres Penitentiary.

Trivia

  • The county is likely named after Los Padres National Forest, which extends on much of the Californian coastal mountain ranges, including the ones east and north of San Luis Obispo, a nearby city to Morro Bay.
    • "Los Padres" is Spanish for "The Fathers."
