Quest Involvement
The Book of Spells is involved in the Side Job "Spellbound," where Netrunner Nix messages V about a job that involves purchasing the book from R3n0, who is waiting by the bar with a laptop. The book costs 5500 eurodollars and is a genuine Zetatech XPR tablet that Johnny Silverhand used to own. V has the option to crack The Book of Spells before returning to Nix, who will pay V for it. If V negotiates, they can receive a bonus.
Decryption and Lore
The Book of Spells can be decrypted in the Shards menu, and doing so triggers the KOLD MIRAGE quest. The book is referenced in the Cyberpunk universe and is associated with magic and spellcasting, containing various spells for different purposes.
