Old Medical Center
This article is about the location in Cyberpunk RED. For other uses, see Medical Center (disambiguation).The Old Medical Center (also known as the Old Med Center) is a wrecked land of radioactive ruins located in the Hot Zone of central Night City.
Overview
This area was once a district that housed many health-related services in Night City. During the Fourth Corporate War, this neighborhood was heavily damaged by the firefights between Arasaka and Militech, culminating in the Night City Holocaust of 2023, in which a nuclear device exploded from inside the top floors of the nearby Arasaka Towers. Medical Center was one of the most affected areas by the explosion, leaving much of the the district completely devastated and irradiated.
In the 2040s, this wrecked neighborhood was still largely irradiated, and it housed many hospitals buried under rubble.[1]
Reconstruction on this area would finally begin in 2052.[2]
