The Infocomp Building was located in the Corporate Plaza of Night City.

Overview

This office building served as a regional headquarters of Infocomp in Night City. At a height of 40 stories, it was the smallest of the Corporate Plaza towers. Due to the corps nature, the building's exterior was a muted, elegant, grey synthetic marble with smoked windows. There were no logos on the building, but a simple small sign by the main entrance. On the rooftop there were several AV-4 pads and heliports, and the usual subterranean parking lot and loading areas were located beneath the building. The loading area was relatively small as little bulk material other than office supplies went in or out.

The only public facility in the Infocomp Building was a huge research library on computer memory. Much of the information contained in it was sensitive, thus it was not accessible through normal computer information nets. An appointment was necessary to access the computer library, as it could only be done from on-site terminals. The charge for library time fluctuated from 100 to 5000 eurobucks per hour depending on the information to be accessed, and the equipment needed. No copying or removal of sensitive material was allowed, other than in handwritten notes. Security was tight, and all users were monitored. Persons wishing access to especially sensitive information were subject to a background check. Employee facilities include a medical center, a cafeteria, a gymnasium and a recreational center.

Access to the building was tightly controlled, and only the main reception area was open to the general public, as library usage required an appointment. All areas were patrolled 24/7. Computer security and ICE was especially prevalent around Infocomp's systems, with only Arasaka being a tougher computer nut to crack.[1]
