Eel
The Arasaka Eel is a cargo submarine owned and manufactured by the Arasaka Corporation in Cyberpunk 2020.[1]
Overview
The Arasaka Eel was a cargo submarine that was owned by and manufactured by Arasaka at some point before 2020. The Caption was Hyung Mitsumoto. During a mission the Eel was tasked with transporting "Project Five" however was sunk in the Bonin trench of the North Pacific Ocean at some point in 2020. Saburo Arasaka ordered the acquisition of IDA (International Defense Alliance), an independent organization that was then put under the Arasaka subsidiary, Sato Commercial Shipping. A covert IDA team was dispatched to the Bonin trench to bring the sub to the surface, which allowed a few dozen Arasaka ships enough time to reach the sub before any other entity could reach it. The operation was a success, and allowed Saburo to protect his corporate assets. The Eel was left behind in the ocean.[2]
