The Dynergy Power Plant was located in Night City.

History

This power plant was originally part of the township of Morro Bay, being operated by a corporation known as Dynergy. During the years prior to the Collapse, the plant shut down due the large economy crisis the United States was suffering, something that destroyed the local economy. After the Morro Bay Massacre of 1992, the defunct plant was purchased by Petrochem. While Richard Night was planning to construct his new metropolis on the same site as Morro Bay, Petrochem was working on making the plant functional again, as well as setting up an offshore port and oil terminal site in the area.[1][2]

By 2020, the power plant was still operational and owned by Petrochem.[3]

Notes

  • In Cyberpunk RED Jumpstart Kit, this plant is instead referred to as the Three Fingers Power Plant.[1]
  • Based on its real location, the power plant should be found on the southern coast of North Oak.
  • The plant is nowhere to be found in 2077, presumably having been replaced at some point.

Trivia

  • The electric company that owned the power plant is known as "Dynergy" in Cyberpunk RED. In real life, this company is called Dynegy.
  • The real power plant's smoke stacks are scheduled to be demolished by 2028.
