Axel Mankievicz, also known as Axeman, is a character in the Cyberpunk universe.
Biography
Axeman was born and raised on the street, spending his childhood living out of cardboard boxes and Coffins. He eventually became a private investigator, taking jobs the Night City Police Department were unwilling to, such as murders committed in the Combat Zone. He got through most cases non-violently.[1]
Eventually, Axeman retired as a detective due to several near-death experiences, including time spent in a coma and a severe beating from Infocomp agents. After the Fourth Corporate War, he found work with John "The Professor" Freeman assisting war veterans, specialising in tracking down those that have disappeared.[2][3]
