Arasaka Secure Database
The Arasaka Secure Database (or the Reliquary Database Project) was a secret project of the Arasaka Corporation to store archives of valuable information from the Net and protect it from the upcoming DataKrash.
History
Located underneath the Arasaka Towers of Night City, Saburo Arasaka's Database Project had the main objective to store and safeguard tons of valuable information before the full collapse of the Net in 2022, as Arasaka had knowledge of Rache Bartmoss's DataKrash before anyone else knew about it.[1][2]
Militech gained intel of the database during Fourth Corporate War, and in August 20 2023, they sent a strike team led by Morgan Blackhand to the Towers in order to render the project unusable for the rival corporation. The strike team's main objective was to either copy or destroy the database, and if conventional methods were not viable, the corp had provided the team with a mini-nuke that would demolish the entire building to ensure the project's destruction. The database was in a heavily shielded complex below the Towers, and the idea was for the area to absorb the impact of the blast and prevent massive destruction. However, the nuclear device somehow prematurely detonated on the 120th floor of the southern tower.[1]
Despite the early detonation, which also caused the AHQ Disaster, the database was confirmed to have been destroyed in the event. This eventually forced Arasaka to delve into the corrupted Old Net in order to reassemble the database from the scattered compilation backups that remained within the old Arasaka network.[2]

Morgan's job was to dump/copy or destroy that archive. If it was too hard to move or destroy by conventional weapons, Militech had provided Blackhand with a pocket nuke that would wreck the Tower instead. The Nuke (whoever's it was; there are several candidates) forced Arasaka to have to comb the Old Net to reassemble the Archive from the scattered compilation backups all over tha Arasaka network. A bunch of kids combing behind the Blackwall for this data would therefore be very useful...
