Bay Area Savings & Loan Building
The Bay Area Savings & Loan Building was located in the City Center district of Central Night City.
Overview
Due to the Mob War of 2009, the corporate takeover caused a lot of Bay Area S&L outstanding loans to go default, causing the company's stock to fall. By 2020, they were struggling to regain their feet, and the local business community suspected them of some shaky dealings. The top half of the building was rented by Administrative & Clerical Services Inc., which in turn subleased office space and secretarial services to a large number of high-powered small business concerns.
The BASL building was starting to show its age; since BASL had been unable to afford any renovation. If ACS ever moved out, it would leave BASL in very dire situation.[1]
