The Slammer is situated in the South City district of central Night City. Originally a popular club in downtown Night City during the 2020s, the old Slammer was abandoned after the Fourth Corporate War. A new Slammer was later constructed on the waterfront of South Night City, which by the 2040s had become a favored spot for gang members.

Features and Attractions

The Slammer is recognized for its cinder block arena, which serves as the main attraction. The arena was built on the eastern side of the block and is constructed from several layers of cinder blocks. It includes glass walkways above for spectators to view fights. The venue also features betting booths and a medical center managed by a local ripperdoc named Vaso.

Cultural Significance

The Slammer was frequented by various groups, including sea nomads, boosters, and hardcore punk rock enthusiasts. It was a place where many gangs resolved disputes, either peacefully or through brawls in the arena. The establishment was originally a small speed-metal/punk rock club opened by Suds Joliet in the 2000s, which expanded over time to accommodate more patrons.
