Stephenson Technologies is a corporation introduced in Cyberpunk 2020. The company produces electronics and cybernetic implants, with products that include baseline technology and cyberdecks.

Sound Optimization System

The Stephenson Technologies Sound Optimization System creates an internal map of the surrounding area and finds the optimal location for each speaker in fifteen minutes. The system is lightweight and compact, about the size of any other rack component. A Very Difficult TECH roll is required to determine the proper position of performers and speakers, with Electronics and Play Instrument skills adding to the TECH roll. If successful, the band receives a +1 Perform skill while in that venue.

Cyberdeck Specifications

The maximum amount of Base RAM provided by the cyberdeck at Tier 5++ is 20. The cyberdeck adds 4 RAM at Tier 4, 2 RAM at Tier 5+, and 4 RAM at Tier 5++. The Tier 5 effect uploads Reboot Optics to all NPCs, including friendly ones. Reboot Optics will initiate a tracing sequence that reveals the player, but this will only occur if filled by uploading a traceable quickhack on an enemy. If left to fill over time, the tracing sequence will fail.
