Overview

Reboot Optics is a Control Quickhack in Cyberpunk 2077, classified as a Tier 1 quickhack. It reduces enemy accuracy for 8 seconds during combat. The quickhack has several tiers, each providing enhanced effects:

- **Tier 2**: Extends the duration to 15 seconds. - **Tier 3**: Increases damage by 15%. - **Tier 4**: Blinds enemies for 15 seconds outside of combat. - **Tier 5**: Replenishes 3 RAM units with a headshot.

All variants of Reboot Optics can be obtained through Breach Protocol.

Mechanics

Reboot Optics resets the detection progress of the target enemy and reduces their accuracy in combat. Each application of the quickhack refreshes the effect's duration. At maximum stacks, enemy cyberware overloads, dealing massive damage. The quickhack has a RAM cost that increases with each tier: 2 for Tier 1, 5 for Tier 2, and 7 for Tier 3. The Iconic version of Reboot Optics doubles the headshot and weakspot bonus damage.

Acquisition

Reboot Optics can be obtained from Netrunner vendors in Night City, dropped by enemy netrunners, or looted from Airdrops in Phantom Liberty. It can also be acquired by sequencing the Advanced Datamine in the Breach Protocol mini-game.
