Kobe

Kobe is the capital of Hyōgo Prefecture located in western Honshu in the Kansai region of Japan.

Overview

Kobe is an industrial center and one of the largest ports in Japan. Many immigrants find work here doing the labour the Japanese don’t want to do themselves, most of them Germans and Indians.

The main parts of the city are Sannomiya (downtown) where the lower classes live, and the island of Portutopia where the hotels for the rich are. Kobe's Chinatown is a great place to find illegal goods, but it’s dangerous due to conflicts between the Yakuza and the Triads.
