CrystalCoat
CrystalCoat is a system that allows the owner to edit the paint job of their vehicle in Cyberpunk 2077. It was added in Patch 2.11.
Overview
The CrystalCoat technology was developed by Rayfield, the British automotive manufacturer. This technology allows their customers to change the color of their vehicles headlights and paint job at any time. By scanning other vehicles using a feature known as TwinTone by Kiroshi Optics, V can save other vehicles paint jobs and apply them directly to any vehicles owned in addition to some unique paint jobs for select cars. Although CrystalCoat is proprietary to Rayfield, the company has partnered with a few others to allow the tech to be used in some of their vehicles.
When CrystalCoat is activated, an animation will appear around the car as the paint and headlight colors change. When the owner exits their their vehicle, the feature stays active but is deactivated when the owner damages their vehicle.
