Turkey is a country located between Europe and Asia.

History

In 1997, the Mideast Meltdown occurred, sending thousands of refugees from the Middle East flooding into Turkey. Bogged down by this, the Turkish government was subject to seven successive coup attempts, though managed to fend off all of them. This quickly turned Turkey into an impoverished police state.

By 2077, Turkey suffered from annual radioactive sandstorms that dumped irradiated fallout from the former countries of Syria, Iraq, and Iran on it.

Government

Turkey's government has to keep a strange-hold on the country to keep it from falling apart. Street patrols are performed by the military and Muslim law is taken to its extremes.

Culture

Turkey is an extremely divided country. The people of Turkey scrounge around for food while avoiding military patrols, while oil barons live greedily in their guarded estates. It’s a predominantly Muslim country, and takes muslin laws seriously.
