Thorton
Thorton Motor Company[3] is an American automotive manufacturer in Cyberpunk.
Overview
The corporation manufactures everyday utilitarian vehicles for the general public consumer-base.[4] Their mid-tier vehicles are extremely durable.[3] Their vehicles also come with owner manuals, detailing everything from vehicle instruments and indicators to service and warranty information.
Thorton is company recognized for their wide array of utility vehicles, including pickup trucks or wagons. They are also known for their midclass passenger cars, most of which were first produced and released between 2020 and 2050. During those years, Thorton competed with its rival the Chinese Archer. This resulted in Thorthon making some of the most astoundingly well-designed and robust models in the market. Even today they are still sought after by Nomads for their durability.[4]
Thorton has an assembly line in Chicago, from which the first Colby was rolled off in 2045. It became an immense commercial success for the company, and by 2060 it had sold over five million units.[2]
