Nippon Network was founded at some point before 2020 in Tokyo, Japan. They later renamed the corporation to Nippon Daily.^{[citation needed]}

In 2077, Nippon Daily was the first media corporation that reported on the revolutionary new line of premium biochip called the Relic being made by the Arasaka Corporation. The biochip was advertised as a means for buyers to preserve a copy of their personalities for future generations to interact with.
