Malaysia is a country located in South East Asia.

History

Malaysia for awhile was in a conflict between its Malay and Chinese population as the Chinese were dominating (and still dominate) the economy. Because of this Malaysia enacted laws giving Malaysians preference for employment, education, and housing, though they never went as far with it as Indonesia.

The Mideast Meltdown caused thousands of Muslim refugees to flood into the country. The government tried to force them to settle in the untamed jungle areas, but they resisted and were forced out of the country, many going to Indonesia.

During the Second Corporate War, Malaysia allied with Petrochem and lost, forcing them to give SovOil the rights to build refineries along the North Borneo Shore and East Coast.[1]

Government

Malaysia

The Malaysian government is a grouping of 13 states, 9 of them being run by Sultans. The Sultans run the largest companies and are immune to persecution. Every five years, the government elects a "king". Due to the concessions made after the Second Corporate War, SovOil has a great amount of control over the country.[1]

Economy

Malaysia's Chinese immigrants run the economy. They run the stores and supply oil refineries, and most Fixers in the country are Chinese. A faction of the Triads called the Red Spear Gang has a strong influence over Malaysia's economy.[1]
