Louisiana is a state within the New United States of America.

Overview

1990s - 2020s

Due to rising sea levels, Louisiana is second to Florida in terms of land being lost and is considered the most rural. During the Collapse, the Cajuns would keep themselves in good shape due to their knowledge of the bayous and survival. As such, other Louisiana natives would follow their example, leaving both city folk and migrants to fend for themselves. As a result, it would obliterate the Louisiana ecosystem. [1]

Ever since the Collapse, Louisiana has rebuilt itself slowly, using excessive taxing policies. Besides Interstate 10, the roadways have not been maintained for the last ten years, and as such this hampered the police the most. [1]

As a form of bread-and-circuses, Grand Poo Bah André Avoyelle has nationalised the yearly festival of Mardi Gras. For one day a year, the entire population (plus any brave tourists) goes on a bender, usually resulting in violent crimes.[1]
