Ireland is an island country in northwestern Europe.

History

Ireland hasn’t seen much change during the 20th century, and it was decided by the Irish government and the European Economic Community to keep the place as essentially a massive nature preserve. In addition, technology is kept intentionally outdated, with non-polluting replicas of 20th century cars and no modern conveniences. Many people claim that Ireland is now, in essence, a country-sized theme park.

Because of its beautiful locales and clean air, corporates began using Ireland for vacations and corporate retreats. Its government-run conference centers began being used as safe, neutral place for corporates to meet.

Ireland is also a popular port for traveler and smugglers as an entryway into Europe. Irish law enforcement is aware of these operations, but rarely steps in unless a complaint is lodged.[1]

Culture

The Irish people are hardy and not much inclined to make up with people that piss them off. Due to the natural preservation laws placed on the country, most Irish people live without the modern conveniences that even the poorer countries in Europe had become accustomed to. Any new structures built have to be designed to blend into the historic feel. Many people still live life the traditional way here.[1]
