Black ICE is a type of Intrusion Countermeasures Electronics (ICE) designed to function within a NET Architecture. It serves as a security measure, targeting Netrunners and their party in Meatspace. Black ICE is used to defend both NET Architecture and physical spaces.
Detection and Engagement
Black ICE is capable of detecting Netrunners and will chase them down once identified. If a Black ICE is attacked sufficiently, it can become 'derezzed', effectively neutralizing its threat.
Storage and Requirements
A Cyberdeck can store Black ICE, which takes up 2 Program Slots within the device. However, it is noted that Black ICE cannot be stored in Cyberdecks.
