Atlantic City
Atlantic City is a city located in the NUSA state of New Jersey.
History
Diverse Media Systems purchased Atlantic City after the Collapse left the city completely in debt. DMS forced out the organized crime elements and rebuilt the city to appeal to modern European-style gentrification. The rising sea level forced the state to build dikes along the shores, but there are stairs and docks that offer viewpoints to visitors so as to still see the ocean.[1]
By 2077, most of Atlantic City lies in ruins, but it is still partially inhabited. The rest of the city has been used as a 10,000-acre landfill, one of the world's largest, for toxic and biological waste. At one point, a large fire breaks out in the dump that lasts over a week with no signs of slowing down. The inferno claims the lives of seven firefighters and incapacitates dozens more through inhalation of the poisonous fumes.[2]
