Ito-san, in light of the data leak from Amsterdam, I took the liberty of conducting additional analysis of our procedurs concerning data transferal onto constructs. When it comes to security, the reality is that we have treated our VIP clients no differently from the "beta testers" acquired on via the net via the Soulkiller program. It follows that our higher-ranking clients pose an additional risk: most of their actions are observed by millions of people. We cannot avoid media attention, nor can we rely on seemingly airtight NDAs. The risk that a VIP will (as occurred with Tvagers at a book event) refer to the procedure as "selling your soul to Arasaka" is significant. It simply cannot be avoided. That is why I propose to grant access to a basic "SYS" version that will be available to the mass market. If everyone can use "SYS," the program will cease to generate suspicion or controversy, while also making it easier for us to conceal its true inner workings. Hirano-san, the Tvagers incident will be handled by PR. At the present time, there is no indication that any information about personality extraction has gone beyond the walls of the SYS labs. The Department of Operational Oversight is working on securing our channels, but in the meantime I suggest you screen your employees once more. I remind you that data extraction from clients' constructs cannot become public knowledge. Should any potential "mishaps" occur, we are prepared to say that "Secure Your Soul" is still undergoing testing and that unexpected outcomes may occur. But I need not tell you how something such as this could affect the public image of Arasaka and its initiatives. Most importantly, "SYS" is Arasaka-sama's proverbial "baby." We cannot disappoint him.
