Practice Makes Perfect

Practice Makes Perfect is an optional main job in Cyberpunk 2077. It becomes available at the start of the main job, The Rescue, and acts as a tutorial covering the basics for weapons, hacking, stealth, and melee combat.

Walkthrough

Narrated by T-Bug, it consists of four training modules, although only the first two are required to complete the job:

1. Combat Basics
2. Hacking
3. Stealth
4. Advanced Combat

Journal Entry

Better to be prepared than dead. The street can be brutally unforgiving, so a quick brush-up on combat skills certainly couldn't hurt.

Objectives

• Talk to the drill sergeant
• Complete all training modules

Module 1 - Combat Basics

• Pick up the weapon
• Shoot all the targets
• Wait for the next round of targets
• Shoot all the targets
• Pick up the weapon
• Eliminate all enemies
• Take the inhaler
• Use the inhaler to regain Health
• Enter the training area
• Eliminate all enemies
• Step onto the platform

Module 2 - Hacking

• Approach the window
• Open your scanner
• Scan two objects highlighted gold
• Approach the window
• Use the TV screen to distract your enemies
• Sneak up to the guard
• Eliminate the guard
• Pick up the body
• Hide the body
• Sneak up to the guard
• Take down the guard and hide the body
• Enter the training area
• Take control of the camera
• Use Breach Protocol on one of the guards
• Hack one of the guards and use the "Detonate Grenade" quickhack
• Exit camera view
• Step onto the platform
• Use the door to exit the simulation (optional)

Module 3 - Stealth

• Go to the window
• Tag all the guards
• Enter the training area
• Hide from the guards
• Sneak to the exit
• Enter the next training area
• Tag the camera
• Reach the exit without being detected by the camera
• Step onto the platform

Module 4 - Advanced Combat

• Enter the arena
• Sneak up to the enemy
• Grapple the enemy
• Wait for instructions
• Hit the enemy 3 times with Fast Attacks
• Hit the enemy with a combo attack
• Hit the enemy with a Strong Attack
• Hit the blocking enemy 3 times with Fast Attacks
• Break the enemy's blocking stance with a Strong Attack
• Block 3 enemy attacks
• Block 2 Strong Attacks
• Counter an enemy attack 2 times
• Dodge 3 enemy attacks
• Defeat the enemy
• Take the katana
• Defeat the enemy
• Step into the training area to continue
• Defeat all enemies
• Step onto the platform
• Use the door to exit the simulation
