Hokkaido
Hokkaido is a region of Japan in the Cyberpunk series.
Overview
Hokkaido is the second largest island of Japan, and the largest and northernmost prefecture. It's north of Honshu and includes the Kuril Islands that the Japanese Government holds as a joint control over with the Soviet Union.[1] Hokkaido's largest city is the capital, Sapporo. The island has two core cities: Hakodate in the south and Asahikawa in the central region. Other important population centers include Rumoi, Iwamizawa, Kushiro, Obihiro, Kitami, Abashiri, Wakkanai, and Nemuro. The large and world famous Arasaka Training Camp is located here in the forested mountains.[2]
Sapporo is the corporate economic center on the region and it's where most Arasaka trainees come to before shipping out to the camp.[3]
