Space Oddity is a Side Job in Cyberpunk 2077 that involves a series of interactions with homeless men and the discovery of valuable items.

Overview

Space Oddity is a Side Job in Cyberpunk 2077, taking place in the south side of Santo Domingo. The job involves a group of homeless men who are unable to open a corpo briefcase. Players can choose to convince the homeless men to hand over the briefcase either by threatening them or paying them off.

Objectives and Items

During the quest, players can follow a scannable blood trail to find the former owner's body, from which an access card can be retrieved. If players possess the required Intelligence, they can hack the briefcase open, which contains a valuable painting likely from a wealthy highrider on the moon, a briefcase stuffed with eddies, and a shard holding big company secrets.

Cultural Reference

The title of the job, Space Oddity, is a reference to the song by David Bowie.

Associated Computer

Space Oddity has one computer associated with it, which players must access to complete the quest. A Militech HR employee reported unsettling irregularities, and users have one hour to report to HQ for evaluation, with failure to do so resulting in immediate termination. The account 'GoldenGod215' is referenced as being permanently banned due to violations of terms of service regarding doxing.
