Kyoto (京都市; literally, "Capital City") is a city in the Kyoto Prefecture of Japan.
Overview
Kyoto was the capital of Japan for 1000 years, and the city still holds the old Imperial Palace and hundreds of temples. The temples have enough influence to stop any new buildings over 12 stories high from being constructed.
At the heart of Kyoto is Kawamachi Street, a marketplace where anything from temple incense to Cyberware can be purchased. Its popular with Rockerboys and geishas as somewhere to get their first gigs.[1]
In 2077, Yorinobu Arasaka attempted a military coup within Arasaka. The branch in Kyoto was one of the locations he tried to seize control of.[2]
