The A-10 Thunderbolt II is a jet aircraft manufactured by Fairchild Republic and introduced in Home of the Brave.

Sourcebook Description

The State Forces owns a collection of unwanted military vehicles including a fleet of A-10 Thunderbolt II aircrafts.[1]
In the 1990s. the U.S. Air Force phased out history's best ground attack plane, the A-10 Thunderbolt II, on the grounds that it was "obsolete." (The real reason was that the ex-fighter pilots in charge of fie USAF wanted nothing to do with any aircraft designed by, and for use with, the U.S. Army.) As soon as the USAFs terrestrial mission was revoked, the Army commissioned an updated replacement to the A-10 Thunderbolt II. The result was the A-01 Blitz, entering service in 2001. It remains the best single-seat ground-attack aircraft in the world.[2]
