Hideyoshi Oshima is a character in Cyberpunk 2077.
Biography
Hideyoshi Oshima is a braindance producer from Tokyo, Japan. With his BD company in Tokyo, he wishes to create the best real emotionally touching braindance experiences. Oshima has made it his goal to strive for deep personal human connection with each new product he makes.
In 2077, Oshima visited Night City and was a customer of Konpeki Plaza. He spent most of his time at the restaurant discussing his ambitions with other customers of the hotel.[1]
Trivia
- The character is voiced by and modeled after game developer Hideo Kojima, creator of the Metal Gear series and director of Kojima Productions.
- A "Bridge Baby Pod" from Kojima's Death Stranding can be found during The Hunt, in the NCPD Lab.
- The dialogue Oshima has talking about his ambitions are very similar to Hideo Kojima's desires in the gaming industry.
- In Japanese, Kojima means "little island" while Oshima means "big island".
