Halsey, Ferris & Skiv (HFS), formerly known as Halsey, Ferris and Night (HFN), is a construction and development firm based in the NUSA.

History

1980s - 2000s

At some point in their younger years, Richard Night and his collages Halsey and Ferris founded HFN, a development company that specialized in using advanced construction techniques to build massive mega-projects such as office complexes, airports, and even small cities in record time. HFN was wildly successful in the years before the Collapse, contributing to the construction of many large model communities around the world, and making all three partners very wealthy men.

Night left the company some time before starting his own project of Coronado City in the early 1990s. Halsey and Ferris would continue on their own, though due to their shortage of money, they eventually joined with a local Californian mob leader known as Bruce Skiv. This led to renaming the company to Halsey, Ferris and Skiv. HFS was one of the companies that were hired to start the construction of Coronado City in 1994, which would be renamed to Night City in 1998.[1][2][3]

2050s - 2060s

Halsey, Ferris & Skiv were one of the companies that were hired to build the resort project of Pacifica in Night City. They collaborated with numerous companies to construct much of Serenisands, including Eventide or the EBM Petrochem Stadium.[4] HFS began construction of the Black Sapphire hotel in 2061[5] and despite its scheduled opening of 2065,[6] the building was never finished.[5]

Notes

  • In Cyberpunk 2077 there are four roads in City Center named after the most notable members of the company: Richard Night Ringroad, surrounding Corporate Plaza proper; Ferris and Halsey Boulevards, both connecting to Watson; and Bruce Skiv, which goes all the way from the northwestern part of City Center to its northeastern end, going right under the Ferris and Halsey Boulevards.
