Down on the Street

Down on the Street is a Main Job in Cyberpunk 2077. It is triggered by a phone call from Takemura at some point after completing Playing for Time.

After receiving a call from Takemura, head to the Japantown docks. At 11:30 PM Takemura will meet with you after you wait, and Oda will come shortly afterwards. Answer however you like - Oda will refuse to listen but will hint on the issues expected with the upcoming parade.

This will lead you and Takemura to meet with Wakako, who will with some persuasion hand over information about the upcoming parade's security measures. You however cannot act on this yet - Takemura says he'll need to do some preparations. Wait for his call.

Journal Entry

If someone told me I'd be taking calls from Saburo Arasaka's fucking bodyguard, I'd have laughed in their face. And now we're supposed to meet with some Takemura? Hand over all our detes? I'm not even gonna pretend like this is a good idea. But fuck it - sometimes you just gotta go all in.

Trivia

• The title of the job comes from The Stooges song, "Down on the Street" released in 1970.
• Immediately after Oda leaves, a ship carrying a giant wolf's head can be seen passing down the canal. This is part of one of the parade floats and can be seen again in Gimme Danger.
