A Cool Metal Fire is a Side Job in Cyberpunk 2077.

Walkthrough

This job starts during Chippin' In, and functions as an objective for it.

Johnny—using V's body—downs a bunch of alcohol before learning from Claire Russell where Cassius Ryder is. Cassius first asks Johnny which tattoo he wants, before giving him information on a man named Jeremiah Grayson, who works for Adam Smasher. He also provides the name of a night club dancer and his ex-girlfriend, Ruby Collins, who's known to be an associate of Grayson's. Johnny goes to the club where Ruby works, flirts with her, parties hard, fights with the bouncers, gets thrown out and finally leaves with Ruby in a stolen car. Things heat up between the two while Rudy's driving, distracting her and causing a car crash. They manage to get out of the wrecked car and a wounded Ruby scribbles the name of Ebunike on a pack of Morley's before leaving. After taking a last draft of a cigarette, Johnny returns to a motel and goes to sleep.

Journal Entry

Now, I don't ask you for much, but I gotta zero Smasher myself. That motherfucker thinks he's invincible. Worse, so does Rogue. All these years, Arasaka Tower's been haunting her. Enough's enough. I'm taking control this one time, I'm finding him, I'm wiping Adam Smasher off the face of the earth.
