This iconic Nue is the signature weapon of Maiko Maeda. It is painted in two different tones of purple, in a tiger print motif.
Death and Taxes has an iconic modifier that makes each shot fired by the weapon cost the user 5% Health. Acquisition
- Ex-Factor - Can be found in Maiko Maeda's office in Clouds.
- If not obtained during Ex-Factor, it can be picked up from Judy's Apartment after Maiko sends a message to the former's computer.
- Can be purchased from Herold Lowe at the EBM Petrochem Stadium if not looted from the above location.

- Although it was originally in the base game, the weapon didn't appear until Patch 1.3.
- Prior to Patch 2.0, each individual round fired would split into 2 projectiles, rather than the current 2-round burst. Each projectile would also be counted individually in terms of damage, crit chance, and rounds fired, essentially allowing the weapon to fire 20 projectiles from a 10-round magazine.
Trivia
- The name of the weapon and its description are a reference to the famous quote by Benjamin Franklin, in which he stated that the only two certainties in life are "death and taxes."
- Like Plan B, the weapon's relies on consuming resources other than ammunition, being Eddies and Health, respectively.
