The cosplay guide images literally show more details (more of the character + even lighting to make all details visible) though. Isn't that important for a wiki? If you're trying to gain knowledge on something, you'd want the most detail possible.

The low-res zoomed-in images with 1/4 of the character give wiki readers less info about the character overall. For example, the image for Meredith Stout makes her hair look brown because of the lighting.

As for what I mean by hardware limitations, the cosplay guide images are rendered separately from the game world. There are no possible interference from other variables (see above, brown hair).
