The Underground refers to various aspects of the Cyberpunk universe, including locations, characters, and cultural elements that define the dystopian setting.

EBM Petrochem Stadium

The EBM Petrochem Stadium is located in Dogtown, in the Pacifica district of southern Night City. Construction of the stadium started during the 2060s, intended to be part of new infrastructures to turn Pacifica into a resort city. The stadium was to be the new home of the Night City Nighthawks, and a sculpture representing the Nighthawks was designed in 2065 by Anthony Davis. However, the Nighthawks were disbanded before the stadium's scheduled 2069 opening, and the construction was abandoned during the Unification War. Kurt Hansen later established Dogtown's black market in the abandoned stadium, which became a profitable business and the largest black market trade location on the West Coast. The stadium caters to local residents and Night City's corporations, operating off the books and powered by a nuclear-powered aerozep. It features two Fast Travel points outside and has a parking lot that serves as a gate into Dogtown, an area heavily patrolled by BARGHEST.

Cultural Elements and Characters

The Cyberpunk universe features various characters and cultural elements that contribute to its underground scene. Lucyna Kushinada, known as Lucy, is a mysterious netrunner who guides David Martinez into the underworld of Night City. She considers Night City a prison and dreams of escaping to the moon. Kerry Eurodyne, a prominent music artist, addresses the suffering of people under corporate capitalism in his music and is known for his rockerboy lifestyle. Song So Mi, also known as Songbird, is a talented netrunner and intelligence analyst for the NUSA, serving as the right hand of President Rosalind Myers. These characters navigate the complexities of life in a dystopian society, often engaging in illegal activities and challenging the status quo.
