Katana

The Katana is a Bladed Melee Weapon in Cyberpunk 2077.

Characteristics

The katana is available in several different tiers, with each their own base appearance.

The 2020 variant of the katana is a first attempt at creating a modernized katana with cheaper materials.

By 2077 it is improved upon by making it out of almost a single mold, appearing to be some kind of polymer which allowed for a wide palette of different color schemes for the weapon. These variants are mainly manufactured by Arasaka.

It would appear that armament and security corporations have shown interest in a more advanced variant, resulting in a military variant of the katana which allowed the blade to be equipped with exotic modifications, such as Thermal, Chemical and Electrical damage.

All katana's have a 10% chance to apply a Status Effect, increasing to 20% at Tier 5.
