Cid

Cid is a character in the Cyberpunk universe.

Biography

Cid moved from Vancouver to Night City around 2042 after washing out of corporate training in the local Biotechnica offices. She managed to find an apartment to rent in the Watson Development, which she shared with far too many tenants. Despite being a nervous person, she had a great memory, and spent the following years working at a dozen restaurants. Unfortunately for her, Cid always ended up losing her job due to her ineptitude when dealing with technology, as she always broke her employer's tech after trying to use it.

In 2045, Cid was hired to work as a sever for the Forlorn Hope bar prior to its reopening in Woodland Park. Fortunately for her, the Hope's owner, a woman called Marianne Freeman, appreciated Cid's ability to recall any order she took perfectly. Although the establishment was a bit far from her apartment, she frequently caught a ride with Chevalier, a member of the bar's in-house band. On the bad side of things, however, Backhand, the Hope's in-house techie, was less enthusiastic about Cid due to her reputation as a tech jinx. In fact, prior to the bar's reopening, Cid broke the Hope's drinking mixer, prompting Backhand to forbid her from ever attempting to make any drinks. Like some of the other new staff of the bar, Cid had also hooked up with Random, one of the in-house band members. During the Hope's reopening, Cid worked under Marianne to clean tables, sweep floors, and prepare the establishment for the event.
