Biography

Early life

Bella Sawyer grew up in a highly abusive environment with an alcoholic father, overworked mother and her big sister, Jacqueline. Bella's father used to work at Salander's, a notorious custom gunsmith shop in Night City, but got fired for inflating the costs and pocketing the money. Being a bad father and a bad businessman led to Bella's mother to finally escape with her children to the home of their grandmother. Unfortunately, Bella's grandmother only agreed to take the family in if she got to raise the children under the strict doctrine of the Inquisitors.[1][2]

Bella and Jack grew up following a harsh Inquisitor regimen and were forbidden to interact with any other children. When Jacqueline came out as lesbian, she was cast out, and took to the street before finding apprenticeship work with none other than Eran Malour. At some point after, Bella found a happier family following her grandma's arrest on terrorism charges after the Inquisitors hit Rocklin Augmentics. Bella's mother, a reluctant convert to the cause, died in the attack, and the girl was adopted by an NCPD police officer who worked the case.[2]

2040s

While living in the Glen, Bella tried for a while to follow in her adoptive father's footsteps, and joined the force with ambitious zeal. Early in her career, Bella applied for the position of City Executioner, but was rejected on the grounds of her youth and inexperience. This, however, attracted the notice of Danger Gal. Although Bella initially refused their offer, her rejection to become a City Executioner pushed her to accept the employment from Danger Gal, a company willing to help her advance up the ladder without years spent walking a beat. Soon afterwards Bella joined Puma Squad under the handle of Lynx.

By 2045, many of Bella's firearms were provided by her sister Jack, who had recently begun working at Faisal's Customs. That same year, after an hostile infiltration into the Danger Gal Headquarters, Lynx joined the rest of Puma Squad to hear the report of the events.[2]
