"The Barge"

The Barge is a watercraft in Cyberpunk 2020.

Overview

The Barge was a sea vessel located in the middle of a Raft-city that covered nearly 50 square miles off the shores of Los Angeles. The ship was owned by Josh Carbonell, a renegade Media who used it as the studios for an offshore pirate radio station called KRAB.

The nearly 120,000 people who lived in the surrounding Raft-city did so on old barges, small ships, pontoons, jury-rigged rafts, and other floating surfaces. Neighbors of "The Barge" were often called Rafters, essentially another variety of Nomad, although this particular Raft-city did not move around the San Pedro Channel.
