Iowa is the strongest of the hold-out states. Frequent acid rain has made Agricorps neglect business opportunities in Iowa, meaning most Iowan farmers still own their own land. This has fostered a sense of small-town mentality in which people actually care about the wellbeing of their neighbours.[1]
