Totentanz was a notorious club located in Night City, known for its violent atmosphere and gang activity.

Location and Description

The Totentanz was a club located on the top floors of the Burleson Tower in central Night City. It was known for boostergangs congregating there, and it was described as loud, dark, and ultraviolent. The music was loud, the drinks strong, and the patrons rowdy at Totentanz.

Gang Activity and Violence

During the early 2020s, the club was a place for gang members to work up adrenaline before getting laid. It was considered a bad night if the body count was less than twenty, and less than a dozen deaths was considered boring. The local ambulance companies stopped making runs to the club due to unpaid bills.

History

In 2023, Totentanz was badly damaged and abandoned after the AHQ Disaster. Maelstrom took control of the building and reopened the club after it was abandoned. During the Time of the Red, Totentanz was occupied by Maelstrom, who consolidated the gang's grasp on the club during the 2030s. By the 2040s, the bar was at the edge of the Hot Zone, and Burleson Tower was in a poor state and at risk of collapsing.

Drinks and Culture

The Night City drink cost 6eb per glass during the 2020s and was a mixture of tequila, raw wood alcohol, and turpentine, garnished with a dead worm. The Armageddon was Totentanz's signature drink during the 2020s, costing 5eb per glass and considered the deadliest drink at the time, although its ingredients were unknown.

Notable Events

In 2045, Maelstrom leader Warlock tasked his lieutenant Flenser to find a new place for Maelstrom. Flenser had a list of places in the Watson Development for a new location. A new Totentanz was opened in an abandoned-under construction hotel in the north of the city. In 2076, David Martinez and his crew assaulted the building's lobby to rescue Isabella Morgan. By 2077, Totentanz was the most popular gang club in Night City.
