The books are kinda like the prima guides, the main rule books have a mix of both lore/info, character and role bios, campaigns etc. The sourcebooks are almost primarily stats for new stuff such as characters, items, locations etc. I Think basics is best, with short quotes etc. If you look at my pages for Arasaka, and the main players, its info from the books, but i have written it myself, however if you look at some of the night city locations i started with, i have included direct quotes. I Think including the nitty-gritty information such as Damage/Range etc is too much.
