Ashlay is a character in Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty.

Biography

Ashlay was a netrunner living in Night City. At some point he got contracted by Charon Exotics to set up their net security.[2]

If V hacked Charon Exotics' transceivers and later took control of Quadra Sport R-7 "Charon":

In June of 2077, while Ashlay was working on a side gig, a breach of security in the company's network was noticed. He looked through the net and found that V, a local mercenary, was responsible for the intrusion. As fixing the situation would be easier without the stolen car still being a part of the network, he secretly reached out to V, offering to strike a deal. They were to wipe the company's software from the vehicle, and in exchange they could keep it. Ashlay directed them to an elevator near the main enterance to the EBM Petrochem Stadium.
Once V arrived, Ashlay hacked the Stadium's security cameras to avoid detection and to keep an eye on the mercenary. He also asked V to keep a low profile and unlocked the elevator to the underground garage. Ashlay occasionally provided tips on how to avoid being seen and helped with erasing the data from the Quadra.
If V managed to not raise the alarm:
V left the Stadium's garage with the car, which was now out of Charon Exotics' system and avoided detection by the BARGHEST security forces. Ashlay announced that their mission was a success, asked V to not put him in a situation like this again in the future and deleted the contact number.[2]
If V raised the alarm:
V was noticed, which ment that Ashlay's situation has gotten worse. Furious, he sent a notification in which he revealed V's intrusion to the entire BARGHEST security force present at the garage and cut contact with the mercenary. BARGHEST's prevention unit was sent after V when they left the garage with the car, which was now out of Charon Exotics' system.[2]
