Western Corporate States
The Western Corporate States (WCS) is a corporation-ruled association formed after the Unification War, comprising the American Free States of Idaho, Oregon, and Washington.
Formation and Structure
The Western Corporate States (WCS) formed after the Unification War (2069-2070) and is a signatory of the Treaty of Unification with the New United States and other Free States. Although nominally part of the New United States of America (NUSA), the WCS operates autonomously and is governed by megacorporations, including MetaCorp.
Immigration Policies
In 2077, the WCS implemented a new immigration program that requires sponsorship for visas. Visa-holders in the WCS can gain permanent residency after a twenty-year employment period and are eligible to apply for a marriage license and a single-child permit.
Geopolitical Context
The WCS includes the states of Oregon, Washington, and Idaho. During the Unification War, the WCS maintained its neutrality while the allied Free States of North America opposed the NUSA.
